Why Selected?

This trip lasted as long as the time we were in port; we would have risked missing the sail-away time if we'd tried it on our own.

Tips/Tricks:

These old East German rail cars seat 6 people in a single compartment, 2 rows of 3 seats each face each other. Not a lot of room and seats do not recline, but not as uncomfortable as it sounds. This tour provided snacks/water both directions; packaged food except for a fresh apple. Lunch was provided at a tour-selected restaurant; typical German food. Glass of champagne was offered (or orange juice) at the Parliament stop. While, with the exception of lunch, the food provided was not particularly nutritious, it isn't necessary to bring your own food and water.

The Parliament building area and the canal boat ride can be windy and chilly; have a jacket or warm sweater handy.

Comments:

This was, for us, probably the best way to see Berlin when arriving by cruise ship; the tour was well-managed and was as described in the literature. Next time we might opt for local tours of Warnemünde as we had no opportunity to see this area due to time constraints
